Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb Beef Sirloin
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 4 cup Broccoli Florets
  • 3 each Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger
  • 4 cup Cooked Rice

Directions

In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced beef and toss to coat. Let it rest for 15 minutes. In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, sesame oil, and the remaining cornstarch. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef in a single layer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until browned, then transfer it to a plate. Add the remaining vegetable oil and broccoli to the skillet and cook for 4 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds. Return the beef to the skillet. Pour in the sauce and cook for 2 minutes until thickened. Serve over the cooked rice.
